6'1" - 193 lbs.

After William Gay departed for Arizona and left an already weak secondary a little bit weaker, Pittsburgh should key in on a few corners. South Carolina's Stephon Gilmore would be a great replacement for Gay who could viably start Week 1 across from Ike.

Gilmore was a First Team All-SEC corner after he recorded 48 tackles with four interceptions. Another Ironman, Glimore started all 40 games during his three seasons at South Carolina.

Strengths:

Gimore is super athletic. Ran a 4.40 forty at the Combine and is listed at over six-feet tall with a superb ballhawking ability. If the ball is up in the air, Gilmore has the ability to go up and get it. The Steelers could really use someone who can pick off passes like Gilmore, who had 8 career INTs at South Carolina.

Gilmore is also a great tackler. He is never afraid to come up and level a defender with all of his 193 lbs.

Weaknesses:

Not much of a man-to-man defender. A lot of his success comes in zone coverage.

He'll be as athletic as big receivers, but the question will be if he is as strong as them. Not sure if Gilmore will be able to wrestle passes away from big possession receivers.
